This week Room 15 began a unit study on what adjectives are and how they make sentences and reading more interesting. In this assignment, the students were given a sentence and asked to label what the nouns or verbs are. Once finished, the students then discussed what category funny should fall into. When asked the adjective questions of: what kind? how many? and which one? the students identified funny as the adjective of the sentence. On their own they then created a list of words to replace funny with. Here is a small portion of the list.
