Spring is right around the corner! We hope! It has been a busy and exciting winter with the Polar Vortex, Science Fair, Constitution Test, Catholic Schools Week and our Linus Conquers Cancer Day! We collected over $800 for Cancer Research and I couldn’t be prouder. Student Government took the lead on this very important activity and they did a great job. The school musical is underway with 38 students ranging from 5-8 grade. Make sure you make plans to see our St. Linus Players cut “Footloose” on April 11th at Oakview Theatre. We have had some issues recently with morning drop off. Let me remind you, when we drop off, the kids get out of the car with their belongings, close the door and you keep going. Under NO circumstances should you be stopping, getting out of the car, opening the trunk, or walking them in. If you need to do those things then you should park in the church parking lot. When you do these things you hold up the drop off line. Please remember that Lawler is one way going south before and after school. On Linus Lane we would like everyone to go one way going North. If you follow the lead of the Patrols and the cones that Mr. Dillon puts out we should be fine. Please slow down and watch for all children. Please join me in congratulating Mrs. Schifferdecker’s 3rd grade classroom who is the 1st class of all 3-8 grade classes to have 100% completion of their AR points and their Library project. Way to go Room 7! As the snow melts and we start to emerge from our cocoons I look forward to seeing you at our upcoming events including the Spring Concert, Band concert, Trivia Night, and Hawk Music Night our major Spring Fundraiser just to name a few. Have a great weekend!
