Well it is like Christmas vacation never happened. We are all back at it again and happy to be here. I have had the pleasure of sitting in on so many different classes since we returned and things are going well. The second graders are loving Typing.com on the computers. They are sharpening their typing skills and having fun doing it. Junior High English has spent the last two weeks learning sentence structure and the difference between subjects and predicates. Our K-3 students completed their winter AimsWeb testing and the results are awesome. Students are showing excellent growth in both math and reading. Thanks to all the teachers for being flexible and all the students for taking the testing so seriously. We will be sharing some information about the testing soon. Preschool 3 had a fabulous time making edible snowmen! We are busy preparing for Catholic Schools Week. We hope you can all join us at our Catholic Schools Week mass on Sunday, January 26th at 9:00 AM. Our wonderful St. Linus students will be singing, reading and bringing up the gifts. We will have an Open House at school immediately following the mass. You can see our students at work, see their work on display and enjoy an art show and the 8th grade science fair. Have a great weekend, stay warm and safe and don’t forget Monday is the Martin Luther King holiday and their will be no school. See you back at it on Tuesday, January 21st.
