Budding Engineers!

  • The second graders in Miss Anderson’s class are learning how our earth can be changed by volcanoes and earthquakes. The students were given the task of building a structure that could withstand the shaking of an earthquake. They created their buildings using toothpicks and jelly candies. We simulated the movements of an earthquake to test the sturdiness of our creations! We then talked about what features made for the sturdiest structures.
