Internet Safety

Mrs. Kathleen McGowan from the Cook County Internet Crimes Against Children Taskforce visited St. Linus School last week to disucss internet safety with the students.

Students were divided by grade level and participated in a discussion about internet safety. They were given tips for internet use for their age level. Then the students were given fictional scenarios about potentional problems on the internet and asked to use their “Net Smartz” skills to find a solution.

Thank you to the St. Linus FTC for providing this event for the students!

About Cheri Brodsky 3 Articles
This is my second year at St. Linus school and my 18th year in education. In 1998 I received my Bachelor's Degree from Millikin University in Elementary Education. I am endorsed in Drama, Enlish as a Second Language, Language Arts, Music and Social Sciences. In 2016 I received my Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Olivet Nazarene University. What I enjoy the most about teaching at St. Linus is that I get to work with every student in the school! Together we sing, dance, play and create music. The students in my classes make personal and cultural connections within the world around them through music. In my freetime I enjoy spending time with my family, going for long walks with my dogs and seeing theatre productions!
