Physical education is available for children in preschool through 8th grade at St. Linus School. At each level students are exposed to thematic units that reinforce the Illinois Learning Standards for Physical Education and Health. Students are taught basic skills that encourage coordination, cooperation, and physical endurance in their classes.
At St. Linus School, intermediate and middle school students are given fitness challenge tests that measure their growing progress. All 4th-8th grade students do fitness testing. We now have 9 fitness tests which include: mile run, pacer, pull ups, flexed arm hang, sit ups, push ups, sit and reach, vertical jump and standing broad jump.
