Principal’s Ponderings

What a great week back we have had.  Feed My Starving Children trip, Springfield trip and a freshly painted gym.  Not to mention 8th grade Pack the House is tonight and it looks to be quite a night for our 8th graders.  I have enjoyed sitting is many different classes as I do teacher observations.  So many great things are happening in our classes.  Hands on activities, using technology, differentiated instruction, cooperative learning and so much more.  first grade created the three little pigs houses out of tooth picks and Dots candies, 4th grade worked on changing fractions to decimals and Junior High math was doing an outstanding job in geometry learning about angles and tessellations and so much more.  It has been a long winter but recently we have been back out for recess and even Mr. Kraft had the students out for PE class.  We are looking forward to Spring activities including 1st Holy Communion and all the 8th grade fun not to mention Our Spring Musical “Aladdin” !  Rehearsals are going well and we look forward to seeing all of you on April 26th at 4 or 7 at the Oakview Theatre.  Enjoy your weekend and remember “It’s a Great Day to be a Hawk!”
