Just recently the students in Ms. Anderson’s class have been learning about the forces that can change our earth; especially volcanoes and earthquakes. The class participated in an activity in which they had to create a structure to withstand the shaking from an earthquake. We constructed our buildings using toothpicks and jelly candies, then tested their sturdiness. The students then discussed the features that made for the strongest buildings.
