A big thank you to The Athletic Board and Men’s Club for financing “Operation Cool the School!”.  Thanks to their generous donations we were able to purchase 17 air conditioners that were installed in the classrooms and Library to keep our students and teachers cool at the beginning of the school year.  We also need to thank our wonderful maintenance men who installed most of them over the weekend so they were up and running for our first full day of school.  Thanks Bob and Dale you are the best!  Thanks to parishioner and graduate, Jay Lurquin, Class of ’77  who measured for, ordered and secured the air conditioners.  Finally, a thank you to Fr. Mark for approving this initiative.  We are so lucky to have such wonderful people helping make St. Linus such a fantastic school.  Stay tuned for pictures of the other things we accomplished this summer.  “It’s been a great Summer to be a Hawk!”  Here are some pictures of some very happy teachers with their air conditioners.
