Hour of Code

Editing a Newscast

Hour of Code was designed to teach people to code in 60 minutes in a fun and non threatening environment. Started in 2013 Hour of Code has introduced coding to countless children and adults. This year I was thrilled to bring Hour of Code to the Saint Linus Middle School.

Our 6th graders worked with Java to edit a news program, the 7th graders  solved Mine Craft puzzles using a variation of Scratch, and the 8th graders learned Python with Tracy the Turtle.
