World Down Syndrome Day

Preschoolers in room 9 celebrated World Down Syndrome Day on March 21st by rocking their socks all day!  The children wore mismatched or brightly colored socks to show how different we can be with still having so much in common.  We celebrated in honor of Nora Kazmierczak, who has down syndrome; she is the sister of our classmate Ben!  Through reading books and discussing our differences the children learned to be more accepting of others and most importantly to always be kind to one another!  It was a great day!
